I wrote the following tutorial several years ago, and when I last checked afterward it was still accurate. I just want the system image to have been saved so that I, or another tech, can recover from it should that day ever arrive. I don't focus on that even for my sighted clients, most of whom would never think of attempting a recovery on their own.
